Hi all,
There are a lot of similarities in the responses. Mine too was triggered by a work issue. Had a new colleague who made my life a living hell and to say it stressed me would be an understatement. My manager took her side despite me having worked for the company a long time and never previously having had any problems with anyone. It all went through the unions and despite winning unfar dismissal I then had the trauma of finding another job. Signing on after 30 years working was not an experience I would like to repeat particularly either!!
I started with symptoms in my wrist 4 months after all the stress from the work issue had finished. I just thought I had been on computer too much. Luckily I was diagnosed very quickly by GP who did relevant blood tests. I am in agony currently, waiting to see various people, OT, rheummy nurse, consultant, lung function test etc etc. I feel like I am slowly losing the use of my right hand at the moment!
I am the first in my family to get AI disease too, no familial history that I know of. Hope this helps.
Take care one and all xx Petra xx
